President Rumen Radev met with the President of the "America for Bulgaria" Foundation, Nancy Schiller. The organization's Executive Director, Dessislava Taliokova, also participated in the talks, BTA reported.
During the meeting, Radev emphasized that the government is interested in expanding support for scientific projects and initiatives in the field of high technology. According to the discussion, this is one of the directions where a more active partnership between institutions and organizations can be sought.
The main focus was placed on projects related to the preservation of Bulgarian cultural heritage and historical memory. Among the topics were the restoration of the Bishop's Basilica of Philippopolis and the renovation of the Ivan Vazov House-Museum in Sofia, which is set to open its doors with a new museum exhibition.
Representatives of the "America for Bulgaria" Foundation also raised issues related to the legal framework regulating the activities of non-governmental organizations in the country.
