Radev: Lukoil Didn't Pay Taxes Under Borisov, Caretaker Government Collected 214 Million

President Rumen Radev stated that Lukoil did not pay corporate tax during Boyko Borisov's government, while the caretaker government of Galab Donev collected 214 million. Radev also commented on the appointment of Rumen Spetsov as a special manager of Lukoil's companies.

President Rumen Radev stated that during Boyko Borisov's governance, "Lukoil" did not pay a single lev of corporate tax. This statement was made after his participation in the "AFCEA TechNET Sofia 2025" conference.

Radev recalled that during the caretaker government of Galab Donev, "Lukoil" paid 214 million lev for the first time. He added that after the end of the caretaker cabinet, no new payment of corporate tax by the company has been registered.

The article also mentions the appointment of Rumen Spetsov as a special manager of "Lukoil"'s companies in Bulgaria, who will oversee the work of the refinery in Burgas after the US sanctions come into effect.

BTA recalls that "Lukoil" is the largest investor and fuel supplier in Bulgaria, a major employer and taxpayer. Since 1999, Lukoil's cumulative investments in Bulgaria amount to over $4.5 billion.
