Protests demanding the resignation of the acting (a.i.) Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov were held in Sofia, Varna, and Plovdiv.

The event in Sofia was organized by the initiative "Justice for Everyone" and the association "Students Against the Mafia", under the slogan "Operation: Void". The dissatisfied gathered at 6:30 PM in front of the Courthouse in the capital. Lawyer Emil Georgiev from "Justice for Everyone" recalled that the Constitutional Court refuses to consider Sarafov's opinions on constitutional cases, i.e. considers him illegitimate. There is a clear violation of the law with the ongoing usurpation of the post by Sarafov, lawyer Georgiev also said and stated that they will insist tomorrow, at the first meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council's plenary for the year, to include a point regarding the a.i. Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov. The protest in Sofia ended after a march to the building of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Citizens of Varna also came out for a silent protest in front of the Courthouse on "Independence" Square in the city. Their main demand is the resignation of the a.i. Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov. Only one of those present was carrying a placard with the inscription "Sarafov in prison". Among the people on the square was the deputy mayor Pavel Popov.

Protesters on "Unification" Square, in front of the prosecution in Plovdiv also demanded that the acting Chief Prosecutor of Bulgaria Borislav Sarafov be removed from office. We oppose the control that the oligarchy exercises over the judiciary, Stoyan Stefanov, coordinator for Plovdiv of the association "Students Against the Mafia", told BTA. The motto of the discontent in Plovdiv was "We are not statistics in the prosecutor's series".
