Doctors, nurses, and employees at the Multiprofile Hospital "St. Anna" in Varna protested because they had not received their salaries in full. The reason – unpaid over-limit activity to the healthcare facility by the Health Insurance Fund for last year.
The doctors stated that consumables are also missing in the departments. The hospital provides emergency medical care for the city and must have doctors of every specialty around the clock. And the low pay leads to an outflow of specialists, the protesters said.
