As part of the preparatory work for the construction of the new Terminal 3, Vrazhdebna Airport – Sofia is introducing significant traffic reorganizations around Terminal 2. The changes, which take effect on September 15, affect how drivers and public transport passengers navigate the area.
In anticipation of potential disruptions, the airport advises all drivers and travelers to plan their routes in advance in accordance with the new traffic rules:
- The direction of traffic on Maria Atanasova St. will be reversed.
- Access to the street will only be possible from Prodan Tarakchiev St., and entry from Brussels Blvd. will no longer be permitted.
There are also adjustments to the service of bus lines 84 and N4. The stop used for dropping off passengers at the entrance and exit of the Terminal 2 metro station is being closed. Instead, all passengers will board and alight at a single shared stop located in the area of the taxi stand.
