Changes in the composition of the Municipal Council in Pomorie
At the upcoming regular meeting of the Municipal Council (MC) in Pomorie, important changes to the composition of standing and ad hoc committees will be reviewed. The reason for this is the early termination of the mandate of municipal councilor Veselin Anestiev, who was appointed as Deputy Regional Governor of Burgas.
In his place, by decision of the Municipal Election Commission, Zakhari Tenev from the list of the local coalition "Agrarian People's Union" will be seated.
Committees and new appointments
The Chairman of the MC, Adam Adamov, has submitted a report, according to which Tenev will take Anestiev's place in key committees:
- Committee on Finance and European Integration;
- Committee on Legality and Public Order;
- Committee on Conflict of Interest Prevention.
The Council will also have to elect new chairpersons for the committees previously led by Anestiev.
Key topics on the agenda
In addition to the personnel changes, the meeting will address important infrastructure and social issues:
- Establishment of a "Youth Center" within the municipal enterprise "Social Services";
- Amendment to the Program for the Management and Disposal of Municipal Property;
- Adoption of a declaration on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the burning of Anhialo;
- Review of investment intentions in Pomorie, Kableshkovo, Medovo, and Aheloy.
The councilors will also vote on the allocation of one-time financial aid for citizens with medical needs, as well as support for the birth and adoption of children.
