After a short break, Bulgaria is once again preparing for the return of hot summer days. According to the BNT forecast, daytime temperatures will rise significantly, returning to the familiar range of 30° to 35°. Experts note that such temperature fluctuations are typical for this time of year, but they urge citizens to prepare for intense heat.

Despite the high temperatures, the day is expected to be mostly sunny, albeit with temporary increases in cloud cover, which will provide short-term relief from the scorching sun. The wind will be light to moderate, oriented from the east-northeast, which will further contribute to the feeling of heat in the lowlands.

Sunny weather on the Black Sea coast, but with stronger waves

Pleasant news also awaits those vacationing on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Today, air temperatures will rise by 1-2° compared to previous days, reaching between 28° and 32°. The sea water temperature remains around 25°, which is ideal for sunbathing and swimming. However, forecasters warn that the sea swell will again intensify to moderate, reaching 2-3 balls. A light to moderate southeasterly wind will blow, which will cool the coast but will not be strong enough to relieve the heat.

Mountain resorts attract with warm weather

The mountains will also enjoy mostly sunny weather, with only temporary increases in cloud cover. Unlike the lowlands, no precipitation is expected here. The moderate north-northwesterly wind will provide a pleasant atmosphere for tourists. It's interesting that temperatures in the mountain resorts will rise by a whole 5-6°, reaching from 21° in Aleko to 29° in Bansko, which is unusual for this time of year and attracts lovers of the high parts.

A meteorological shift is ahead after Wednesday

Forecasters warn of a change in meteorological conditions in the coming days. On Wednesday and Thursday, a weak atmospheric disturbance will pass through the country, leading to an increase in cloudiness. Although there will be no precipitation in most places, short-term showers and thunderstorms are possible in isolated spots in Southwestern Bulgaria. In the eastern half of the country, it will become windier. On Wednesday, temperatures in the lowlands will remain around 35°, but on Thursday they will drop by 3-4 degrees, which will bring some relief. It seems that summer has not yet said its last word.
