A cold front will reach Bulgaria on Monday afternoon, and daytime highs will drop by 2 to 3 degrees, climatologist Prof Georgi Rachev said.
He said the air will be a little cooler. The highest temperature in northern Bulgaria and the high basin plains of western Bulgaria will most likely be around 10 to 12 degrees.
Rachev gave the interview on election day, before he had voted. He said he would go to his polling station afterwards.
The climatologist believes a turnout of 30% would be a big success. He said there will certainly be a runoff, because a turnout above 50% is out of reach.
The day after the vote, it will be clear which two pairs go through to the runoff. Rachev expects turnout to be higher then, and he forecasts no rain on runoff day.
