From December 1, 2025, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and commercial banks began selling starter kits with euro coins with the Bulgarian national side.
Who can buy?
- Individuals: Can purchase starter kits from the BNB and commercial banks. They can purchase up to two kits per transaction.
- Businesses: Can obtain euro coins only from commercial banks.
What do the kits contain?
- For individuals: The kit contains 42 euro coins of all denominations with a total value of 10 euros and 23 cents and is sold at a price of 20 leva. Includes:
- 2 coins with a denomination of 2 euros
- 2 coins with a denomination of 1 euro
- 4 coins with a denomination of 50 cents
- 5 coins with a denomination of 20 cents
- 7 coins with a denomination of 10 cents
- 6 coins with a denomination of 5 cents
- 7 coins with a denomination of 2 cents
- 9 coins with a denomination of 1 cent
- For traders: The kit includes 420 euro coins of all denominations with a total value of 102 euros and 30 cents and is sold at a price of 200 leva. Includes:
- 20 coins with a denomination of 2 euros
- 20 coins with a denomination of 1 euro
- 40 coins with a denomination of 50 cents
- 50 coins with a denomination of 20 cents
- 70 coins with a denomination of 10 cents
- 60 coins with a denomination of 5 cents
- 70 coins with a denomination of 2 cents
- 90 coins with a denomination of 1 cent
Prices
- For individuals: 20 leva per kit
- For traders: 200 leva per kit
Important! Bulgarian euro coins will not enter circulation before January 1, 2026.
