President Rumen Radev will participate in the official graduation ceremony for the 2025 "Slivnishko-Dragomanski" class at the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy, the presidential administration reported. The head of state will present academic documents and congratulate the young officers.
The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the ceremony will include the presentation of diplomas by Minister Atanas Zapryanov and Deputy Defense Chief Lieutenant General Krasimir Kanev. The official event covers two main educational profiles: "Strategic Leadership of Defense and Armed Forces" and "Organization and Management of Military Units at the Operational Level".
A total of 55 officers will receive their diplomas and assignments. Eight specialists are graduating from the "Strategic Leadership" direction of the National Security and Defense Faculty, while 47 officers are from various specializations at the operational level from the Command and Staff Faculty.
Among the top performers of the 2025 "Slivnishko-Dragomanski" class are Captain First Rank Todor Kalinov and Major Maria Hristova, who will be specially recognized. There are also three servicemen from the Republic of North Macedonia, which underscores the international nature of the training.
The ceremony also includes the presentation of doctoral degrees, which further enhances the academic significance of the event. Last year's tradition is maintained, with the president again being part of the graduation ceremony.
