"Flowers of Saint Ivan of Rila" Choir Formed in Burgas
With the blessing of His Eminence Arseniy, Metropolitan of Sliven, the formation of the "Flowers of Saint Ivan of Rila" children's and youth choir for Eastern Orthodox chanting is underway at the St. Ivan of Rila Church in Burgas.
The initiative aims to preserve and pass on to the younger generation the richness of Orthodox vocal art and the centuries-old traditions of Eastern Orthodox music.
Who can participate?
- Children and youth aged 4 to 22.
- No prior musical education is required.
- Requirements include: a clear voice, a good ear for music, and a desire for development.
Schedule and Enrollment
The first session will take place on August 31, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Sunday School building at St. Ivan of Rila Church.

The choir conductors are Shtelyan Dimov and Atanasia Petrova.
