People have anticipated Parliament and voted no confidence in the cabinet tonight. This was done by an unprecedented number of Bulgarians of all ages and parties in the squares of Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas... throughout Bulgaria and Europe. This was written by President Rumen Radev on Facebook.
According to him, the protest has given birth to a broad popular anti-mafia consensus, which is more important than all differences, than all attempts to appropriate hope.
"Dear Members of Parliament,
Tomorrow you are choosing between the dignity of the free vote and the disgrace of dependencies.
Between the voice of the people and the fear of the mafia. Hear the squares! It is your turn!", the President writes.
My choice is clear, concludes the post of the head of state.
Tonight, rallies were held in the capital and other cities of the country, demanding the resignation of the government and fair elections.
In Sofia, many citizens filled the "Triangle of Power", people wanted the ruling authorities to withdraw from power. The protest was under the slogan "Resignation! Out with Peewski and Borisov from power!"
