Road safety: A call for responsibility

The holiday season is in full swing, and with it comes intensive traffic. At the beginning of today's government meeting, Prime Minister Rumen Radev issued a categorical appeal to all drivers: drive with thought for yourself, for your loved ones, but with responsibility towards everyone else on the road.

"Road safety is not just a state responsibility, it is a collective concern that starts with the personal choice of every driver," emphasize traffic safety experts.

Systemic problems and future changes

The Prime Minister assured citizens that the government is working hard to achieve deep systemic change in the road sector. According to Radev, the state of the Bulgarian road network is the result of problems accumulated over decades.

According to the Prime Minister, the accumulated problems in road infrastructure cannot be fully compensated for or cleared within a short period of two months, but efforts for modernization are continuing.
