Prime Minister Radev announces administrative reform and preparations for Eurovision

Prime Minister Rumen Radev revealed plans for an administrative reform without mass layoffs and announced Bulgaria's preparations to host Eurovision following DARA's success.

Administrative reform: Efficiency without mass layoffs

During the government meeting, Prime Minister Rumen Radev announced the start of a large-scale administrative reform. The main goal is to increase efficiency and optimize public spending without allowing mass layoffs that would threaten administrative capacity.

"There will be no layoffs before a preliminary analysis of the structures and functions that overlap," the Prime Minister emphasized.

To this end, an Administrative Reform Council has been created, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Galab Donev. The approaches include:

Diplomacy and security

The Prime Minister announced a conversation held with US President Donald Trump, during which he insistently raised the issue of visa waivers for Bulgarian citizens. The topic of tanker aircraft at Sofia Airport was also discussed.

Preparation for Eurovision

The government is beginning preparations for organizing Eurovision following DARA's spectacular success. An interdepartmental organizing committee is being established, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ivo Hristov, which will coordinate efforts with the BNT and the singer's team.
