The small village of Hrabrino became the epicenter of agricultural culture during the third edition of the Hrabrino Peach Festival, which attracted dozens of local producers and visitors.
Tikhomira Ivanova, secretary of the "Nikola Yovchev-1921" Community Center, emphasized the importance of farmers: "They are the true driving force of this event. Without their labor and production, the festival would not exist".
Mayor Dimitar Krastanov shared that despite challenges with the harvest this year, interest in local peaches remains high. "Meteorological conditions were quite challenging, but the quality of our peaches remains unchanged," he commented.
The farmers' market presented a variety of local varieties such as "Marigold", "Alberta", and "May Flower", known for their large fruits and exceptional taste. About ten producers presented their products, demonstrating the richness of agriculture in the region.
The daily program included numerous attractions for visitors. A creative bazaar presented handmade items - embroidery, wooden crafts, jewelry, and paintings. Special attention was given to children's workshops, where young participants could learn various crafts such as candle making, ceramics, painting, and sewing.
The evening program promised rich entertainment with musical and dance performances. The culinary stand offered traditional local specialties - peach jam and peach rakia, which further reinforced the authenticity of the event.
Organizers from the "Nikola Yovchev-1921" Community Center and the Education Department of the Rodopi Municipality emphasized the main goal of the festival: "We want to show the beauty of our village, promote local agriculture, and create unforgettable experiences for people".
The culmination of the event was the contest for the largest peach, which included an attractive prize fund with material and monetary rewards, as well as a cup for the winner.
The festival reinforced Hrabrino's reputation as an important center for agricultural production and cultural traditions in the region.
