Burgas Municipality is organizing a rich and diverse program dedicated to Lazarus Saturday, Palm Sunday, and Easter, which will delight the residents and guests of the city. The festive days will be filled with concerts, exhibitions, traditional rituals, and events for all ages.
Start of the celebrations:
- April 2: Folklore concert “Colorful Carousel” at the Central Market “Krasnodar”
- April 3: Spring concert “Oy, Lazarus, Palm Sunday is coming” in “Slaveykov” park, welcoming of Lazar girls at the Ethnographic Exhibition, exhibition “Tsvetolinie” and a festive concert in front of the “Probuda” community center.
Lazarus Saturday – April 4:
- Charity celebration of the Easter egg at the “Flora” Expo Center.
- Festive water blessing for health on St. Anastasia Island.
Palm Sunday – April 5:
- Spectacle “The Return of the Flowers” on “Atanas Sirekov” square.
- Colorful procession on “Bogoridi” street.
- Art workshops “Colorful Fairy Tale”.
- Large festive concert with the participation of Petya Buyuklieva and other established performers on the Open Stage “Ohlueva”.
- Concerts in different neighborhoods of the city.
Celebrations before Easter:
- April 9: “Egg Dyeing for Easter” – an authentic ritual for dyeing eggs.
- April 11: Paschal service in the church “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”.
Easter – April 12: Festive concert in “Izgrev” park.
