The Council of Ministers is preparing a large-scale report on the readiness of state institutions regarding specialized firefighting equipment. This became clear during today's government meeting, where Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov presented the details of the upcoming analysis.

In his statement, the head of state expressed exceptional gratitude to all employees directly involved in managing crisis situations. Zhelyazkov emphasized the need for a constructive political debate, while explaining that the situation continues to be extremely complex.

A key point in his statement was the reminder of a parliamentary decision from last year, which obliges the government to present a detailed report on the absorption of funds under the Operational Program "Environment". The goal is to acquire specialized equipment, including aircraft for the needs of the Ministry of Interior.

The Prime Minister announced that he has ordered an interdepartmental analysis that will cover the potential of various state structures. This process involves the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The main task is to determine the optimal correlation between the necessary aircraft, existing airport infrastructure, and available qualified personnel.

During the operational meeting after the cabinet meeting, details about future air operations will be discussed. Ministers will provide preliminary information to the media, and subsequently, an additional report will be prepared for review in parliament.

Rosen Zhelyazkov firmly stated that the issue will receive its final resolution within the current month. As a specific commitment, he pointed out that in August, available technical means will be used, including aircraft expected from Sweden, which will be positioned in Bulgaria.

The government plan aims to ensure maximum readiness for prevention and rapid response to potential challenges related to fires and natural disasters.
