The Council of Ministers adopted decisions to allocate funding for the Ministry of Health for 2026.

The first decision approves a sum of 920,300 euros, intended for the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC). Of this amount, 153,400 euros are for the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS). The funds will support the activities of the BRC and the realization of its goals for the benefit of vulnerable citizens.

The second government decision allocates 1,279,000 euros for the purchase of a new angiographic system for the University Hospital in Stara Zagora. The goal is to reduce the time for treating patients with stroke, reducing mortality and improving functional outcomes.

It is reported that the Mountain Rescue Service provided assistance to over 3,000 people in 2025, which is an increase of about 7% compared to the previous year.
