Parliamentary scandal: Public procurement for 103,000 euros for coffee and sweets
The "We Continue the Change" (PP) party expressed strong disagreement with a new public procurement contract announced by the National Assembly. The scope of the contract includes the supply of nine types of coffee, four types of tea, juices, confectionery, and nuts.
"9 types of coffee, 4 types of tea, juices, sugar, candies, and nuts for over 103,000 euros including VAT. This is the National Assembly's new two-year contract," commented PP.
The position of "We Continue the Change"
- The PP MPs state that they do not use the coffee paid for by the state.
- The party claims that it uses its own coffee machine and that consumables are purchased with personal funds.
- PP emphasizes that they have proposed limiting bloated administrative expenses, but have not met with support.
