The National Fire Service has made significant progress in limiting forest fires, the Minister of Internal Affairs Daniel Mitov reported during an official briefing of the operational headquarters.

According to official data, the trend of reducing fire outbreaks is being confirmed. A specific example of successful intervention is the containment of the fire in the Tryn region, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the actions taken.

Chief Commissioner Alexander Zhartov, director of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (GDPBZN), emphasized that the most challenging situation currently is in the Strumyani region. Despite this, the professional work of the directorate's experts is yielding visible positive results.

Minister Mitov made an extremely important appeal to the public – citizens should exercise maximum caution and responsibility. Statistics show that a large percentage of fires are caused either by human negligence or are the result of intentional actions.

Experts from GDPBZN continue to work intensively on prevention and rapid suppression of emerging outbreaks, with the main goal of minimizing damage and protecting human life and the natural environment.
