Over the last 24 hours, firefighters in the country have extinguished a total of 33 fires, according to the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (GD FPSP) on its official website. This is an indicator of intensive work, as the teams responded to a total of 66 incident reports.
The reports varied in nature, but the fire services coped with the challenges. Of these 66 reports, 14 led to direct material damage. Fortunately, in 19 cases no damage was caused. In addition to fighting fires, 29 rescue activities and support operations were also carried out. This shows the wide scope of the fire services' activities and their readiness to respond to various crisis situations.
In one of the cases, in the town of Pomorie, a fire broke out in a house. As a result of the incident, a 57-year-old man was overcome by fumes, and household property was destroyed by the flames. Employees of the Regional Fire Service FPSP-Burgas managed to control the fire and extinguish it, but the damage was significant.
Against the backdrop of these real cases of incidents, it is also important to note the presence of false calls. A total of four such signals have been reported, which take up valuable time and resources from the fire services, which could be directed to real situations where human lives and property are at risk.
