Fires and Incidents in the Past 24 Hours: One Dead and One Injured

The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" reports 82 fires and 106 incident calls in the past 24 hours. One person died and another was injured in incidents.

Over the past 24 hours, fire departments have extinguished 82 fires and responded to 106 calls for incidents, reports the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" on its website. The information is as of 6:00 AM.

One person died in the fires, and another was injured.

On April 10 at 12:14 AM, a report was received at the Operational Center of the Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection – Plovdiv about an explosion from a gas bottle in a house in the town of Saedinenie, Plovdiv region.

A 72-year-old woman was injured in the incident and sustained burns. The cause of the incident was a technical malfunction of the gas bottle.

On April 10 at 07:57 AM, a call was received at the Operational Center of the Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection – Dobrich for a fire in a house in the village of Opanets, Dobrich municipality. A 74-year-old man with limited mobility died in the incident. The cause of the fire was a short circuit in the electrical installation.

20 fires caused direct material damage, 10 of which were in residential buildings.

62 fires occurred without material damage.

19 rescue operations and support operations were carried out.

There were five false calls.
