A tablet charging in an electrical outlet caused a fire in a house in the Burgas complex "Meden Rudnik", the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior announced.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on April 16, when a report of a burning property on Lulin Street was received at the Fourth Police Department in Burgas. The fire engulfed the second floor of the house, owned by a 53-year-old resident of Burgas, and was brought under control by four firefighters with one fire truck.

According to the owner, he left his home around 9:00 p.m. on April 15, leaving the tablet to charge with a charger in the electrical network.

The police told BTA that the fire led to heavy smoke on the second floor. The flames were extinguished in a timely manner, preventing the spread of the fire to the rest of the house.
