Athletes from Pomorie who compete for clubs outside the town can be nominated for the 2026 "Pomorie Pride" award, Pomorie council said.
As well as the usual awards for local clubs, this year there is a prize for Pomorie athletes who train elsewhere. To prepare for competition, they play for teams in Bulgaria and abroad.
Athletes born in Pomorie or living in the town can be nominated if they have results at national and international championships. The council says it wants the award to honour local talents who bring fame to the town and the region, wherever their club is based.
Nominations must be made on the official form, "2026 – Nominations for 'Pomorie Pride'", which can be downloaded and filled in.
