Municipal councilors in Pomorie adopted temporary budget estimates for 2026 until the state budget is voted on. The decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the Municipal Council, where preliminary limits for the municipality's expenses were approved. The decision was made unanimously.
The only item on the agenda was a report by Mayor Ivan Aleksiev, related to ensuring the normal functioning of the municipality until the adoption of the State Budget Act for 2026. The adopted decision approves expenses for a capital program, subsidies for education, sports clubs and non-governmental organizations, as well as funds for the cultural and sports calendar.
Temporary financial aid is also provided for the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment in the city in the amount of 255,000 euros, as well as for other structures of public importance.
The decision also includes changes proposed by the permanent committees, related to the updating of amounts and events in the sports calendar. The Municipal Council allowed preliminary execution in order to avoid difficulties in the municipality's activities until the adoption of the state budget.
