The young footballers from the youth academy of OFK "Pomorie" experienced a dynamic weekend on September 20 and 21, participating in five exciting matches from the "A" Regional Group championships.
The results of the matches reveal a mixed bag of wins, losses and draws, showing both the potential and the need for further development of the young talents.
Category "Football 5"
The "Football 5" category proved to be traditionally strong. The start of the new season was marked by a categorical victory with 13:2. The match was distinguished by effective interaction of the whole team, but undoubtedly the most remarkable was the performance of Dimitar Petrov and Stoiko Stoikov, who scored 7 and 6 goals respectively, contributing significantly to this convincing success. The convincing victory is a positive sign for their future development.
Category "Football 7"
The "Football 7" team faced a serious challenge – participation in a tournament in Karnobat against the footballers of FK "Neftochimik". The meeting proved to be contested and despite the worthy game, the young Pomorie players conceded with 7:9. Despite the loss, the performance of Mario Stoichevski (6 goals) and Bozhidar Bonchev (1 goal) was remarkable.
Category "Football 9"
"Football 9" played their match at the local stadium in Pomorie, against the team of "Nesebar". The meeting was marked by a dynamic struggle and ended in a 2:2 draw. Pomorie took the lead with two goals, courtesy of Boyan Baev, but "Nesebar" managed to equalize the score during the game, leaving the match with an unresolved outcome.
Children"s team
The children"s team of OFK "Pomorie" hosted FK "Zvezdenburg", achieving a categorical victory with 10:0. Asen Alexiev distinguished himself with 5 goals, while Georgi Georgiev and Daniel Hristov added 2 each, and Boyan Baev scored another one. This bright victory is proof of the strong performance of the youngest in the school.
Junior youth
The junior youth played a home match against FK "Karnobat", in a very contested meeting. Even in added time, the match was extremely tense. Although Pomorie showed promising play, the guests managed to score the winning goal, ending the meeting with 4:3. Iliyan Dimitrov (2 goals) and Husein Grozev (1 goal) were the scorers for OFK "Pomorie". The loss, although heavy, will serve as a valuable lesson for the young footballers.
