"For the past 24 hours, eight thefts, one other criminal offense and one road accident have been registered in the region of the Regional Directorate of Interior – Burgas. Five police proceedings have been initiated. Nineteen crimes have been solved."
On 10.08, around 01:30, "in the area of the Sea Station – Burgas, officers from First Regional Police Department – Burgas conducted a check on a 33-year-old man from Yambol and found and seized: about 40 blue pills / ecstasy / and a packet with white crystalline substance / piko / weighing about 2 grams. The man was detained for up to 24 hours. Expedited proceedings have been initiated."
Solved thefts and confessions
"As a result of further police actions by officers from Second Regional Police Department – Burgas regarding the detained for theft of perfumes from retail outlets, located in residential complex 'Slaveykov,' an 18-year-old man from Sofia, stopped on the Burgas–Sozopol road near 'Petrol' gas station at the Sozopol junction while driving a 'BMW 535' with Sofia registration, it was found that the thefts were committed by two other criminally known Sofians / aged 16 and 17 /. It was established that they committed the following thefts: - from a cosmetics store, located in block 118 of residential complex 'Bratya Miladinovi,' they stole: electric toothbrushes, oral showers, and electric shavers / total value 1,830.80 BGN /. - from a cosmetics store in Mall 'Galleria,' they stole nine perfumes totalling 2,549 BGN. - from a branded perfume store in Mall 'Galleria,' they stole five perfumes totalling 1,634 BGN. The detained youths made full confessions. Part of the stolen items were found and seized properly. During a search of the 'BMW 535,' six branded perfumes were found. Work to fully document the criminal activity of the detainees continues by officers from Second Regional Police Department – Burgas."
Theft from tourist and successful police intervention in Sozopol
"On 11.08, around 12:30, at the Regional Police Department – Sozopol, a report was received from a 64-year-old Czech tourist that a little earlier in Old Sozopol, his wallet was stolen containing: 400 euros, 1,100 BGN, a bank card, and personal documents. As a result of joint police actions with officers from the Regional Police Department – Kameno, the perpetrators were identified – a 20-year-old woman from Bulgarovo and a 40-year-old woman from Kameno, who were detained at the Regional Police Department – Sozopol. The two detainees gave full confessions and returned the stolen sum by official protocol, subsequently indicating where the rest of the items were thrown away. Numerous procedural and investigative actions were carried out / witnesses were questioned, a crime scene was inspected, CCTV cameras were reviewed /. Work on the case continues by officers from Regional Police Department – Sozopol."
Drugs found and suspects detained in Kosharitsa and Aytos
"On 11.08, around 14:00, officers from the 'Criminal Police' department at the Regional Directorate of Interior – Burgas carried out a check in a hotel room in the village of Kosharitsa, inhabited by two men from Kardzhali / aged 21 and 24 / and found and seized pink hexagonal tablets / ecstasy / weighing about 10 grams, a packet with white crystalline substance / amphetamine / about 140 grams, about 2,000 BGN, documents belonging to third persons not at the address, scales, QR-code cards, etc. Both men were detained by police order for up to 24 hours. "On 11.08, around 14:10, in the area of 'Gotse Delchev' street in Aytos, officers from the Regional Police Department – Aytos stopped an 'Opel Zafira' with Burgas registration, driven by a 30-year-old man from Aytos and found he was driving under the influence of narcotics / methamphetamine /. The driver refused to give a blood and urine sample for chemical analysis. He was detained for up to 24 hours, and the car was impounded as per procedure. Expedited proceedings have been initiated."
Road accident involving an injured youth
"On 11.08, around 20:10, in a wooded area near the village of Kosovets, due to loss of control, a Suzuki cross motorbike, driven by a 17-year-old youth from the village of Ruen, crashed alone. With a forehead fracture, without life-threatening condition, he was admitted for observation at 'Heart and Brain' Hospital – Burgas. Work on the case continues."
