The sea whispers poetry. On May 27th, the waves of the Gulf of Burgas will turn into a natural backdrop for an extraordinary cultural journey. The traditional "Poetic Cruise" will once again gather authors and admirers of the written word, connecting the port of Burgas with St. Anastasia Island and the "Chengene Skele" ethnographic village. The event is a key part of the International Literary Festival "Holy Word" – May Meetings of Slavic Creators.
This time, the creative geography is truly impressive. Voices from eight countries will sound in their native languages amidst the salty sea breeze. This year's edition includes poets and writers from Serbia, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Armenia, and Bulgaria.
"When poetry leaves the indoor halls and merges with the sound of the waves, it acquires a completely different, raw, and true power," share the organizers of the event, inviting everyone to become part of the voyage.
