Drunk driver with 3.17 per mille alcohol arrested in Burgas' Rudnik district

A 41-year-old man from Pernik was caught by police driving with a high blood alcohol content. A fast-track police investigation has been initiated.

A fast-track proceeding has been initiated after a 41-year-old man from Pernik was detained by law enforcement authorities. The measure was imposed after the driver was caught operating a passenger car with Burgas registration while under the influence of a significant amount of alcohol.

The incident was recorded on September 12 at approximately 9:41 PM in the Rudnik neighborhood of Burgas. Officers from the Traffic Police sector of the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior stopped the vehicle for a routine inspection, during which a breathalyzer test was conducted.

The device recorded an impressive 3.17 per mille of alcohol in the Pernik resident's breath, which led to his immediate detention.
