Five people have been detained for drug-related offenses in the Burgas region over the past few days, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported to Burgas24.bg.
The first incident was recorded in Burgas, where officers from the Specialized Police Forces sector conducted a check near Block 1 in the Lazur residential complex. The subject of the police action was a 20-year-old local man with a criminal record. During the subsequent search, the officers found and seized a hand-rolled cigarette containing a dry green leafy substance, a ball of the same substance weighing 2 grams, and 1 gram of a white crystalline substance.
On Friday, around 11:00 AM, teams from the Nessebar Police Department searched a private property located on Strandzha Street in the town of Obzor. The residence is occupied by a 59-year-old man with a criminal record and prior convictions. Police found and seized a quantity of dry leafy substance amounting to approximately 120 grams. Later that same day, around 11:00 PM, law enforcement in Nessebar conducted an inspection of a hotel room rented by a 19-year-old youth from the town of Sliven, where they discovered 25 grams of cannabis.
The inspections continued on Saturday around 12:30 AM, when officers from the Nessebar Police Department conducted a search of a residence located in the Stariya Vazel neighborhood. In the property used by a 30-year-old man from Sliven, the following items were found:
- 20 grams of cocaine;
- 14 grams of methamphetamine;
- 5 grams of cannabis;
- an electronic scale;
- numerous polyethylene bags measuring 4 x 6 cm.
The final inspection was carried out yesterday around 7:50 PM within the territory of Burgas. A team from the Second District Police Department detained a 40-year-old local man with a criminal record. During a personal search, approximately 6 grams of dry green leafy substance (marijuana) and 1 gram of a white powdery substance, identified as methamphetamine, were found in his possession.
