The road towards Malko Tarnovo – the "Malko Tarnovo" border crossing is closed, the mayor of the town, Iliyan Yanchev, announced to BTA. The closure is related to the upcoming operation to remove the bus that crashed from the ravine it fell into this morning.
The crane is already in place and balancing, and the operation to pull out the vehicle is beginning. The removal of the bus is also necessary to provide access to the bodies of the two deceased who are under it, the mayor added.
We remind you that early this morning, a bus with Ukrainian registration, carrying mainly women and children, overturned in a ravine near the "Malko Tarnovo" border crossing. A total of 39 people were traveling in it — 36 passengers, two drivers, and one steward. Two of the passengers died, and nine people were admitted to the University Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment in Burgas.
