Ministry of Interior's Tally: 26 injured in 24 hours
The intensity of traffic on the roads has again led to a significant number of traffic accidents. According to data from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), a total of 22 accidents were registered across the country in the last 24 hours. Unfortunately, a total of 26 people were injured in the incidents.
Road safety remains a priority, with authorities urging drivers to exercise increased caution and observe traffic rules.
The situation in Sofia
The capital also reported a busy day with numerous minor accidents. In the last 24 hours in Sofia, the following were registered:
- 31 minor traffic accidents;
- 3 serious traffic accidents;
- 4 injured people.
Statistics from the beginning of the month and the year
The Ministry of Interior's data shows an alarming trend since the beginning of the calendar period:
- Since the beginning of the month: 177 accidents, 13 dead, and 212 injured.
- Since the beginning of the year: 1,889 incidents, 141 dead, and 2,348 injured.
The investigation into the causes of the serious accidents continues, with law enforcement reminding drivers to drive with increased caution, especially in dynamic road conditions.
