First graders from "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School met with representatives of the Nesebar Regional Police Department to learn important lessons about road safety. The event took place in the schoolyard, where the attention of the youngest students was focused on the basic rules of conduct they must follow to be safe.
In an atmosphere filled with children_q_s delight and curiosity, the police officers explained in detail how and where to cross the road, emphasizing the importance of doing so at designated pedestrian crossings. They gave valuable advice to the children on how to behave in a car, highlighting the need for seat belts and child seats. In addition, the law enforcement officers explained the basic rules for riding a bicycle, emphasizing the need to follow road signs and signals.

The pupils learned what a police baton is used for - a symbol of power and control, which is used to regulate traffic. At the end of the meeting, all the children had the unique opportunity to look inside a police car. With sincere interest, they got acquainted up close with the equipment available to the law enforcement officers. Many curious questions from the children were addressed to the police officers, which further reinforced the understanding of the important topics of road safety.
