Today, according to the approved work program of the National Assembly, the members of parliament will be engaged in blitz control and regular parliamentary control.
According to the rules of the parliament, in the first two hours of the sitting on the first Friday of each month, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers are obliged to appear before the National Assembly and answer topical oral questions. These questions must be related to the general policy of the government and be asked by members of parliament during the sitting itself.
Last Friday, on November 7th, the blitz control did not take place. The reason for the postponement was the engagement of representatives of the executive branch. The Speaker of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, announced that letters had been received from Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, as well as from Deputy Prime Ministers Atanas Zafirov and Grozdan Karadzhov, in which they stated that due to urgent commitments, they could not attend the sitting. Consequently, in accordance with the parliamentary rules, the Prime Minister and all Deputy Prime Ministers will answer topical oral questions at a plenary session today, November 14, 2025, as the first item on the agenda.
Deputy Prime Ministers Atanas Zafirov and Grozdan Karadzhov, together with Ministers Manol Genov, Silvi Kirilov, Petar Dilov, Zhecho Stankov, Ivan Peshev, Georg Georgiev, Georgi Tahov, and Ivan Ivanov will participate in the regular Friday parliamentary control.
