A month before the graduation balls, on April 23, 2026, the Municipal Council on Narcotic Substances – Burgas, in partnership with the Regional Court – Burgas, is jointly organizing an educational event entitled: "From the Celebration to the Sentence" - How a prom night ends up in court.

The initiative is aimed at XII grade students and aims to present in a realistic and impactful way the consequences of risky decisions related to the use of alcohol and psychoactive substances, as well as violations of the law in the context of graduation celebrations.

Graduates from five high schools in the city of Burgas will participate in the event, who will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of different institutions and professional fields.

The event combines the expertise of the judicial system, law enforcement agencies and health institutions. Within the framework of the initiative, students will meet with a judge from the Regional Court – Burgas, a representative of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas, a medical specialist and a psychologist.

By presenting real cases from practice, participants will have the opportunity to follow the path from a seemingly harmless decision to its legal, health and social consequences.

"Our goal is not to preach, but to show the reality – as it is. We believe that when young people hear the true stories behind the numbers, they can make a more conscious choice," the organizers point out.

The event will be held in the building of the Regional Court – Burgas.

The initiative is part of the efforts to build a sustainable preventive environment and encourage responsible behavior among young people at one of the most important moments of their growth.
