Eight performers are advancing to the next stage of the national selection for the Bulgarian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, announced the Bulgarian National Television.
These are Dara, Mihaela Marinova, "Moletz", Preya, Mona, Roksana, Innerglow, and "Kerana and the Cosmonauts". They were determined by a vote of the jury and the audience. The jury included the general director of the Bulgarian National Radio, Milen Mitev, the musicians Vasil Petrov, Rushi Vidinliev, Tony Dimitrova, and Petar Dundakov.
In the first stage of the national selection, fifteen artists appeared, each presenting one song of their choice from their own repertoire. Val, Veniamin, Dara, Dara Ekimova, Dia, Elizabeth, "Kerana and the Cosmonauts", Mihaela Marinova, Mihaela Fileva, "Moletz", Mona, Preya, Roksana, Fiki, and Innerglow performed on stage.
The second stage is next Saturday, January 31, when the eight contenders will again perform one original song. Then the winner will be determined, who will represent our country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May.
In the third, final phase – in February, the winner will perform live on BNT 1 three songs written specifically for the "Eurovision 2026" contest. The song that will represent Bulgaria in Vienna will again be determined by a combined vote – of a professional jury and the audience.
The Eurovision Song Contest, whose 70th anniversary edition is this year, will be held between May 12 and 16 in Vienna. Bulgaria will perform in the second semi-final, which will be on May 14. The grand final is on May 16.
