Experts from the Southeast State Enterprise - Sliven, are sounding the alarm about the critical situation with forest fires in the region. Eng. Stanimir Sotirov, deputy director of the institution, presented extremely worrying data during the show "The Day Begins on Saturday and Sunday".

According to official statistics, a total of 68 fires have been registered since the beginning of the year, with an impressive 64 directly related to human intervention. Only four of them were caused by natural phenomena such as electrical discharges that hit forest territories.

Sotirov emphasized that the problem is not from this year, but a persistent trend has been observed over the past three years. Human activity continues to be the main catalyst for the emergence of destructive fires in the region, which poses serious challenges to ecological safety.
