A new publication, entitled "Know Me", which aims to present the richness of cultural and ethnic diversity in the Burgas region, will be presented to the public on October 30th. The event will take place at the emblematic Cultural Center "Sea Casino", according to its creators from the Center for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation "Alef".

The presentation of the magazine promises to be an important moment for the region, reinforcing the commitment to intercultural dialogue. In 12 issues, the publication offers an in-depth look at the life, traditions and culture of the diverse communities that coexist in the region. Among the highlighted groups are Greeks, Armenians, Turks, Jews, Roma, as well as newer residents of Russian and Ukrainian origin. Readers will have the opportunity to get acquainted with their historical roots, contemporary appearance and examples of successful integration in the region.

The event is expected to attract a large number of visitors, curious to learn more about the different cultures that shape the social landscape of the region. The publication "Know Me" is the result of extensive research conducted by the team of the Center "Alef". The project is part of the initiative "Tolerance against hatred – applying the values of the European Union in the multicultural society of the Burgas region" and is funded by the European Union and the Foundation "Workshop for Civic Initiatives".

The content of the magazine is ambitious and rich: over 380 pages dedicated to the history, culture, cuisine, music and traditions of the different ethnicities. The authors of the publication emphasize that the main goal is to raise public awareness of the issues of tolerance and mutual understanding. They believe that getting to know the "other" is a key step towards harmonious coexistence.

Representatives of the different ethnic communities included in the publication will be present at the presentation, which promises to make the event even more significant. The journalist and writer Maria Kasimova-Moase will be a special guest at the ceremony, who will present the magazine to the public.

The organizers emphasize that the publication is conceived as a practical and educational manual. It will be useful for researchers, teachers and civil society organizations working in the field of intercultural dialogue. The presence of journalists and representatives of cultural circles suggests that the event will receive significant media coverage, encouraging the dissemination of messages of tolerance and mutual respect.
