From December 9th to 11th, travelers heading towards Burgas on the “Trakia” highway at the 275th km in the Yambol region will only use the active lane, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced. Until the end of next week, similar restrictions also apply to two 100-meter sections at the 284th and 285th km.
The temporary traffic restrictions in the direction of Burgas are related to repair work in the median strip of the highway. So-called windows are being built, which will ensure passage from one lane to another during the upcoming repair of joints on bridge structures, the road agency said.
Yesterday, the traffic restrictions on a repaired 11-kilometer section in the Sliven region were lifted. Between the 262nd and 273rd km in the direction of Burgas, the asphalt surface was replaced, drainage works were carried out, the signs and barrier systems were renewed, and markings were applied.
