Temporary traffic restriction in Burgas
Dear fellow citizens,
In connection with upcoming construction and repair activities, the Municipality of Burgas has issued an official announcement regarding a temporary traffic restriction in the central part of the city. Citizens and guests of Burgas should take the changes in the traffic organization into account to avoid congestion and inconvenience during the weekend.
According to information from the municipal administration, a key intersection in the city will be closed to vehicle traffic. The restriction will affect a section of “Kont Androvanti” Street, specifically its intersection with “Tsar Petar” Street. The closure will take place over the weekend, on 13.09.2025 (Saturday) and 14.09.2025 (Sunday). During this period, traffic in the area will be stopped for more than eight hours daily, specifically from 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
The reason for this temporary inconvenience is the performance of loading and unloading activities for construction materials and specialized equipment. These activities are related to a large-scale construction site on the adjacent “Trakiyska” Street, in close proximity to the building of the National Revenue Agency (NRA).
Although the Municipality of Burgas does not provide additional details on the nature of the construction work, the fact that a busy intersection must be closed for two days suggests that it involves the transport of heavy equipment or large volumes of materials. Residents and those working in the area have likely already noticed the preparations for these activities, which may have caused minor disruptions to the usual rhythm of city life.
The municipal authorities are urging drivers to use alternative routes and to follow the temporary road signs that will be placed in the area. Police teams and traffic controllers are expected to assist with traffic to minimize possible difficulties and ensure the smooth 진행 of the construction activities. Given the scale of the upcoming work, the temporary inconvenience is expected to be necessary to ensure the safety of citizens and those working on the site.
