Experts from the National Social Security Institute (NSI) have released precise statistical data regarding the average social security income for the current financial year. According to the official announcement, the monthly average indicator for June 2025 amounts to 1,839.37 leva.

The detailed analysis reveals that for the period from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, the average monthly social security income is equivalent to 1,745.04 leva. This parameter is of exceptional significance, as it directly corresponds to the mechanism for determining the size of newly granted pensions.

The normative basis for such a calculation is contained in the provisions of Art. 70, para. 3 of the Social Security Code. According to this legal text, the mentioned average monthly income serves as a basic financial indicator in calculating pension benefits.

For comparison, in the previous month - May, the average social security income was registered at 1,882.21 leva. The current values demonstrate a slight decrease compared to the May parameters, which may be the result of various economic factors.

This official statistics represents a key mechanism for transparency and predictability in the social security system. NSI continues to provide timely and accurate information for citizens who rely on correctly calculated social payments.
