Sozopol Municipality bans fireworks and pyrotechnics starting September 4

The Mayor of Sozopol is introducing a total ban on the use of explosives in public areas, near residential buildings and venues for fire safety reasons.

The Mayor of Sozopol Municipality has issued an order prohibiting the use of fireworks, firecrackers, pyrotechnic bangers, and any other pyrotechnic devices containing explosive substances. The measure is preventive and aims to reduce the risk of fires across the entire territory of the municipality.

The restriction comes into effect on September 4, 2026, and remains in force until its express revocation. The ban covers open public spaces, areas with large crowds, zones near residential buildings, as well as areas surrounding catering and entertainment establishments.

The municipality urges all residents, guests, and visitors to comply with the regulation. Responsible behavior is essential for preventing incidents and ensuring public safety.
