Sozopol Municipality continues its campaign for environmental protection, and will provide a mobile collection point for hazardous waste in April 2026. The initiative allows residents from all settlements within the municipality to dispose of harmful household waste in a safe and responsible manner.
The point will be available according to a pre-prepared schedule, the aim being to facilitate access for citizens and to encourage the correct disposal of hazardous materials that should not be placed in household waste containers.
Residents can hand in various types of hazardous waste completely free of charge, including:
- Batteries and accumulators
- Expired medicines
- Fluorescent lamps
- Solvents and detergents
- Paints and varnishes
The collected waste will be handed over for subsequent safe treatment and recycling, in accordance with all environmental requirements.
The municipal administration calls on residents to actively participate in the initiative. Proper management of hazardous waste is an important step towards protecting nature, the cleanliness of settlements and the health of people.
The campaign is part of the consistent efforts of Sozopol Municipality to build a cleaner and more sustainable environment, as well as to raise public awareness on topics related to ecology.
