Providing a high-quality, safe, and modern environment for the youngest citizens is a leading commitment of the local government in Nesebar. As evidence of this long-term priority, the municipality has successfully completed a large-scale renovation of the interior spaces at the "Obzorche" kindergarten, located in the town of Obzor. According to Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov, investing in such projects is a clear indicator of social responsibility toward the future, as "care for children begins with the environment in which they grow, play, and develop."
The scope of the repair work is extremely broad and covers almost all functional areas in the building:
- Playrooms, bedrooms, offices, and study areas;
- Kitchen block, sanitary facilities, and storage areas;
- Gymnasium.
To create a more welcoming and suitable environment, new laminate flooring has been installed in the daily activity rooms, and new lighting has been fitted as part of the overall interior refresh strategy. Significant improvements were also made in the administrative section, where radiators, flooring, and lighting were replaced. At the same time, the gymnasium was completely repainted, and for better security, the existing window grilles were replaced. An important focus of the modernization was the complete replacement of the internal heating systems throughout the entire kindergarten facility.
Special attention was paid to hygiene and safety in food preparation. The kitchen block now features completely replaced equipment, including new electrical appliances and work surfaces. With the renewed flooring and interior wall coverings, more functional conditions have been achieved that strictly meet high sanitary and hygiene requirements. The renovation of the restrooms also includes a full replacement of the sanitary ware, ensuring the maintenance of excellent hygiene for the children.
"The renovation of the 'Obzorche' kindergarten is another step in maintaining, modernizing, and upgrading our educational infrastructure," added Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov. He emphasized that, in addition to major investment projects, the municipality continues to allocate funds for ongoing improvements that directly impact the comfort of the children and the work of the teaching staff. The administration's future plans continue to focus on energy efficiency, the development of sports infrastructure, and the improvement of building facilities across other institutions.
