Nesebar Municipality has signed a contract for the repair and renovation of the facades of the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" Primary School in Ravda under the "Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas 2023-2027" program.
Construction activities will begin after the end of the school year and must be completed by the beginning of the next one. The municipality has signed a contract for 100% non-refundable financing for the installation of thermal insulation on walls and under-roof spaces of the school building, replacement of windows and doors, repair of the fence, construction of a heating system through heat pump units, including in the gym.
"Nesebar Municipality is one of the most active in its participation in various European and national programs financing educational infrastructure projects. It is important for municipal schools to be housed in exemplary buildings. Our efforts are focused on creating the best conditions for the educational process. Therefore, funds are needed - both for repair and reconstruction activities and for new construction. Such is the case with the two gyms in the schools in the villages of Gyulyovtsa and Orizare, built in a few months before the beginning of the current school year" - commented Mayor Nikolai Dimitrov.
Another significant project that the municipality will implement with its own funds is the construction of a new educational building for "Lyuben Karavelov" Secondary School. It will be intended for students from grades I to IV and will ensure the educational process in a modern, well-equipped environment that is suitable for the age of the children. With the implementation of the project, students in the main building will switch to a one-shift mode of education.
"We are convinced of the better quality of education carried out in a modern environment. Therefore, we are determined to provide the best conditions for both children and teachers. In the long run, this will lead to a more conscious generation, with ambitions and life perspective." - concluded Mayor Dimitrov.
