Following the severe fires during the summer, Burgas Municipality has invested in two drones with high-tech equipment. They will assist in the early detection of fires, risk assessment, and directing the teams.

One drone has been donated to the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection," and the other will be used by the Municipality for monitoring. The drones have thermal cameras, night vision, and 3D imaging.

Training of the staff is forthcoming, as is a mobile fire extinguishing installation. A system for the early detection of fires is also planned, including fire towers, as well as reforestation of affected areas.
