Safety first: Replacing trees on Oborishte Street
Burgas Municipality has taken decisive action to ensure the safety of citizens on Oborishte Street. A specialized operation has been launched to replace old and potentially dangerous trees that pose a threat to passing pedestrians and cars.
"The decision was made following numerous reports from local residents and a detailed expert analysis of the state of the vegetation," the administration reports.
Why is removal necessary?
- Damaged root system: Underground infrastructure has compromised the stability of the trees.
- High danger: Leaning branches that pose a risk of falling during repair work or bad weather.
- Diseases and pests: Experts have identified visible signs of decay and cavities in the trunks.
The new green look of the street
The project does not aim simply at removal, but at a complete renovation of the green system. The planting of 70 new trees is planned. They have been specially selected to be resistant to the changing climatic conditions in Burgas and to have a root system that is compatible with urban infrastructure.
This initiative is part of Burgas Municipality's long-term strategy for maintaining a healthy and safe urban environment, which combines aesthetics with care for people.
