For the fourth consecutive year, the Municipality of Burgas is implementing the educational initiative "Read Me a Fairy Tale," which has successfully united hundreds of children's stories, awakened curiosity, and a sincere love for books. The sustained interest in the campaign is evident, proven by the large-scale participation of students from a total of 29 Burgas schools, whose joint efforts with their families and local authorities are key to building early reading habits.
This year, a total of 106 students immersed themselves in the world of literature, spending the summer months in the company of favorite characters and authors while sharing their impressions of what they read. In recognition of their activity and desire to explore new worlds, every child who took part in the program will be awarded a certificate and a voucher for educational materials.
The ceremonial award presentation is scheduled for September 10. The ceremony will begin promptly at 17:00, and the event will take place in the inner courtyard of the NHK Cultural Center.
Through "Read Me a Fairy Tale," the Municipality of Burgas aims to turn reading into a natural and favorite part of children's daily lives. The project has established itself as one of the municipality's leading tools for promoting literacy and enriching the free time of young people during the summer vacation.
