Burgas Municipality is taking steps towards the sustainable development of social services. Mayor Dimitar Nikolov proposes the purchase of an electric car and a charging station with funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The main goal is to reduce energy dependence through electric vehicles.
The purchase of an electric car is part of the process of deinstitutionalization and transition to community-based services. Daily transportation for users is key.
This will lead to the modernization of the vehicle fleet, reduction of carbon emissions, optimization of schedules and increased accessibility and quality of life.
Previously, Burgas Municipality applied for photovoltaic panels and an electric car for the Home Social Patronage.
This shows a consistent policy for environmental solutions.
