Minister Ivan Shishkov reached an agreement with the mayors of the Burgas region to accelerate spatial planning, resolve cadastre issues, and proceed with future highway construction through concessions.

Accelerating General Spatial Plans

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Arch. Ivan Shishkov, held a key meeting with local authorities in Burgas. The main focus was placed on General Spatial Plans (GSP), which are fundamental to the development of the region.

"In practice, they are the law by which all municipalities must develop," emphasized Arch. Shishkov.

The state is committing to the fastest possible coordination of these documents to avoid administrative chaos.

Vision for Highway Connectivity and Concessions

The "Cherno More" (Black Sea) highway remains a priority, being considered on a scale from the border with Romania to Malko Tarnovo. The Minister also revealed a strategy for dealing with the shortage of funds for new roads:

"The Bulgarian Black Sea coast deserves to have order and a completely different vision," summarized Minister Shishkov at the end of his visit.
